August 2, 1996

We told you earlier about Intel's The Journey Inside: The Computer, a free resource created with teachers to de-mystify computers and teach the science behind the technology. Ours arrived, and it looks like a great tool. You'll find two videos, a 500 page loose leaf notebook of lesson plans, blackline overheads, hardware and supplies including a silicon wafer, microprocessors, transitors, lights and switches (even the batteries are included) and the box opens up to resemble a computer with the boards, hard drive and power supply printed on the inside. Order yours today if you haven't already done so; supplies are limited. For more information go to Intel's web area for grade 5-9 teachers at http://www.intel.com/education/index.htm
