Learning from Teachnet
![]() Our goals were to explore web page development, graphic design, and the daily operations of a Dot-com business. The information we obtain will be helpful in furthering our knowledge in this high-tech world that has been created. This is all valuable experience that can and will help us in our future careers. Everything we do or say was shaped by something or someone in our lives. Each Teachnet intern was exposed to different sights and experiences, each taking his or her own experiences with them as our internship ended... "This has given me the opportunity to look at what I can do with my life in the Internet and business world. I have been given my first experience using Mac's and I like them. I have also learned about networking using Mac's and PC's together on one network." -Joe "The Internet is a fascinating thing that has been something of interest to me. That is why I loved the chance to work at Teachnet. I have learned about graphic design, setting up web pages, and about what all it takes to keep a Dot-com company working. This internship has been a valuable thing to me and I am glad that I have had the chance to experience everything that it had to offer." -Nick "This has been an interesting summer. I have learned many new things through countless experiences and interactions. I have been introduced in detail to the world of the Dot-com company. I was allowed to use my individual knowledge in researching while being exposed to new experiences such as how to set up a web page, start an e-mail box, design graphics, or even to install memory into a hard drive! I was introduced to the knowledge of my fellow interns and have walked away with many new skills and experiences." -Reyona "Here at Teachnet I have learned some basic HTML and Dream weaver. I learned about setting up a small lighting scheme for Internet movie sets and that working as an organized team can really affect the final outcome of any situation. IŻve learned it takes a little bit of skill, a little bit of money, and just a little bit of luck to start and maintain a business." -Thomas "The summer internship at Teachnet has been like looking through a window into my future career field. I've had hands-on experience with art programs such as Fireworks and Dreamweaver, programs that are used by most graphic design firms today. I have enjoyed interning at Teachnet I felt more like an actual employee than an intern." -Terek "Being at Teachnet has been an interesting experience. I can honestly say that there has never been a dull moment. Either working on web design, video production, or painting, it was an experience I will never forget." -Shawn Go To Page 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | Video
